Welcome, Guests!
We are excited that you're thinking of visiting us here at Petra. It is our hope that the message you hear from God's Word will strengthen your faith and fill your heart with peace. All are welcome, and there is no "dress code" – feel free to wear comfortable casual clothes or your "Sunday best!" And don't worry – we won't surprise you by asking you to stand up or stick out in any way.
Additional information you may find helpful:
Usual service times are Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 11am during the summer months, and Sundays at 11am during the school year. Please refer to the calendar on the home page for any updates to the schedule. The calendar includes additional opportunities, including Adult/Teen Bible Study or Children's Sunday School, which you are more than welcome to attend.
Upon entering the church, feel free to grab a cup of coffee in the entry area!
Restroom locations include one single restroom with changing station to the left near the staircase. Additional men's and women's restrooms are in the basement, just past the kitchen area.
A hearing loop is installed in the building to assist those with hearing aids.
As you enter the sanctuary for the service, an usher will offer you a printed service folder. Sit wherever you like! The service folder contains all the information you need; you may also use the Bibles and hymnals under the seats in front of you. Generally, the service consists of Bible readings, responsive readings, a children's message, a prepared message (sermon), and a few hymns or songs. It is our hope that the service will be relatable to your life!
As noted above, all are welcome, including young children! If needed, at any point of the service parents of young children are welcome to utilize the entry area, either of the two upstairs classrooms, or the basement.
After the service, feel free to stick around to meet new friends and grab another cup of coffee! You may notice a collection of books in the entry area. Feel free to borrow any books that interest you – there is no “sign out” list or required timeframe for returning them. You may also see an offering box in the entry area, though we would never ask or expect guests to donate money.
If you have any further questions prior to visiting, feel free to contact the administative assistant. It is our hope and prayer that, after visiting, you will be encouraged and equipped for the week (and return the next week)!
