After School Care Program

  After School Care Program

The after school care program provides care, supervision, and activities for students who are attending Petra Lutheran School. The goal of the program is to provide a Christ-centered, safe environment for children needing supervision after school hours. This program is operated as an extension of the school.  Therefore all rules and regulations established by the school apply to this program.

The after school care program is located in the lower level of the church. Activities will take place in the lower level of the church, on the playground, and at times in selected classrooms.

A variety of activites, snack time, and homework study periods make up the daily schedule. The program will provide individual attention, security, consistency, and loving treatment of all involved.

Rates for the after school care program are $4/hour, billed in 1 hour increments. The hours for the 2017-2018 program are from 2:45 pm–5:30 pm. Any child remaining at the school after 2:45 pm will automatically be enrolled in the after school care program. Parents who have children in the program will be asked to provide snacks for the program. The parent(s) will be responsible for signing their children out at the time of pick-up. We reserve the right to bill you until 5:30 pm if you do not sign out your child each day.

Questions about the After School Program can be directed to Principal Graf (principal@petralutheran.com) or Program Director Michelle Savage (320-345-1705).
